DESCRIPTION

Overcoming Five Roadblocks to Christian Manhood

It has been said that the difference between a man and a boy is that a man will deny himself to meet the needs of others. A boy meets his needs first. When men put their needs before others in relationship, problems are soon to follow. In my practice I have counseled men primarily around anger, isolation, disconnectedness, sexual addiction, and lack of emotional intimacy. These five major roadblocks are increasingly tearing families apart. Too often men use these destructive methods to cope, often hurting the women and children they love most.

Christ’s example calls men to be actively present in body, soul, and spirit. Men who can demonstrate compassionate strength, warmth, and sacrificial love. As men learn to navigate around these roadblocks and embrace God’s design, they will be available to step into the role they are called to fulfill. This seminar will unpack five roadblocks men must overcome and address action steps to measure success.

Learning objectives:

  1. Identify five key areas for men to master.
  2. List five action steps to achieve success.
  3. Understand what keeps men stuck.
  4. Clarify what role Christ plays as an example for men.
