About NCC
Welcome to the Network of Christian Counselors
The Network of Christian Counselors (NCC) began over 30 years ago as a Church-based ministry. Licensed counselors provided strength and support to the church by addressing the needs of the hurting and encouraging personal, emotional and spiritual growth within the church body.
Since its inception, professional members of the NCC have continued to embrace the shared values upon which this organization was built. These values encompass our approach to the ministry of Christian Counseling. They are defined by our desire to advance in Christ- likeness, authenticity, accountability, professionalism, personal growth, koinonia fellowship, and contributed ministry.
In recent years, the Network of Christian Counselors expanded its membership to include Christian Counselors and related professions in all areas of practice. Our mission is to educate, encourage, and equip these professionals in the care of a hurting world. We invite our colleages to join with us in Christian fellowship and grow with us as we fulfill our calling of service to others.

Founded in 1977 by Dr. Harold Wahking, the Network Institute of Christian Counseling, Inc. grew from his understanding that our Christian faith holds major insights into finding hopeful solutions to the problems we face. Dr. Wahking knew that while the tools of the professional counselor were essential in the therapeutic process, it is the power of God working through us that transforms lives.
